FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Here are some questions prospective customers often ask. If you need additional information please feel free to contact us.
How much will my sign cost?
That's probably the question we most often hear. Without knowing the final specifications of your sign, the answer is, "it depends." Here are some general guidelines:
- If your sign is for a temporary application, we can usually specify lower-cost materials. If the sign is "permanent," we use premium materials to maximize durability.
- Smaller signs generally cost less than larger signs.
- Two-sided signs are usually 50 percent more than one-sided signs, depending on production requirements.
- Flat signs are almost always more economical than three dimensional signs.
- Posts, scroll brackets and finials are priced separately.
- Installation is also priced separately.
- A big factor in the cost of your sign is the design requirements. Review the graphic options below.
Option "A" creates a bold, easy-to-read image but fails to communicate a lasting impression. Option "B" is a little more interesting and appealing. The shape and graphics of Option "C" creates a far more memorable impression, and best portrays the nature of our business—that the Middle Creek Sign team is creative, fun and talented. We can produce your sign in any of these option, but if your budget allows, a truly customized and crafted "C" will certainly add effectiveness…and long-term value.

I'm interested in a sign...how do I get started?
The first step is browsing this site to learn about your options. Next, determine your wants, needs and budget (if possible.) We can then provide a free, no-obligation estimate for your project.
After you approve the estimate, a deposit is required if custom artwork is needed; the deposit is deducted from the final invoice. When the design is approved (and applicable deposit received) a work order is signed and production can start.
Will I see a proof prior to final production?
Yes, we normally email a proof for your approval; "hardcopy" proofs are also available.
What are your payment terms?
Depending on the size and complexity of your project—and other factors—we may request partial payment prior to starting your project or when our proof is approved. Otherwise, our terms are net 30 days. We will discuss payment terms with you early in the process. Please note that we do not accept credit cards.
Can I install the sign myself?
Installation can range from easy to complex. Some involve simply fastening the sign to an existing wall or other facade. Others involve digging holes below frost line…mixing and pouring concrete…performing electrical work with trenching for underground cable. Almost all of our clients prefer us to handle the installation chores, but we're happy to provide instructions and hardware if you'd like to install the sign yourself. For obvious reasons, please note that we don't guarantee do-it-yourself installations.
Are there other installation issues such as permits?
Depending on your specific installation, "maybe." Check with your local municipality to see whether a permit is required, and if your sign is located along a state highway, call PennDOT (570-368-8686) for set back, right-of-ways and related issues. Finally, if there's any digging involved, call PA ONE CALL (1-800-242-1776) to ensure that there are no buried utility lines.
Who "owns" the artwork?
When a customer purchases a logo, s/he receives all rights to the trademark and it can be used for other purposes without restriction. Otherwise, our creative work is copyrighted and the rights must be purchased prior to using our art for other work we're not providing.
I have a design in mind...can you work with my ideas?
We welcome your input and would be happy to replicate your art…or work together to explore other creative approaches.
How long does the process take?
That depends on a variety of factors—the type of sign, production requirements and more. After the design is approved we provide a tentative timeline for completion, and if you are facing a critical deadline we'll do our best to meet your needs.
